Live now in Perth WA but brought up 5 Irish in Glossop in all weathers and found that they love the cold and snow. I used to water the ground after a pee as when the snow melted the burns on the grass were severe. Easier to house train dogs here as weather always kind and our 15 week old has trained himself - we can leave the door open all the time.
