I am a beginner in Irish Setter world sins 2004.
My name is Ulla and I am 38 years old. I have a big family with my husband Robert and we have 4 kids. I have a daughter. 13 years since before and we have together a son born july 2007. He has 2 older sons 14 and 11 years.

We live in Sweden 40 km from Ornskoldsvik in a village named Bredbyn. I love the Irish Setters because they are so beautyfull and so kind. They are fine familydogs and they loves children.
I love to walk in the forrest close to the wildlife with my dogs and my husband if he has the time.

The wildlife in my neigborhood is rich with birds, bears, elk and reindeers and I have met them close.

She has been seeing other people, other dogs and cats, Katarina lives in the city which I think is really useful for my dogs because i livin on the countryside!

Cheers,
Myra.

Ah well...you can't win them all....but it will come, perhaps next weekend, I am now waiting for a litter from my Saffy and Mr Jingles, she is getting bigger by the day, I am now hoping that all will go well for her when she delivers her puppies..
Good luck at the show

Hi Ulla,
Great photos on your page and I shall be interested to see how your Reds progress in their training. Well done on your hard work.
Thanks for the congratulations for my boy getting a Pass certificate on his days out on working training days.

Hi Ulla,
Gorgeous time of year in Sweden, photos are lovely... My son is also enjoying the weather, he is to coming South Africa for 3 weeks, and arrives here 8 June... we are now starting our Winter, the cooler temps are welcome after the searing heat of summer...
Enjoy your spring and summer with your family...

I also have plans to move from Warsaw to countryside, first steps have been done - i have some piece of land in the village not so far from the city, I try to spend there as much as possible time in summer. That's wonderful time for me and dogs, maybe in few years I'll realize my plans. That would be fantastic.
I have two rivers close, but they are not so clear, in my opinion, to drink water from them. First, I like more, because for years i spend upon it many hours with my dogs. They love to swim in it, and water is Ok, their hair after bath was clean and shiny. In winter I try to spend there Sundays. Like last one..
Cheers

My girls have fairly modern lines, Jas is a Caspians she is the niece of Caspians Intrepid, she is out of his sister, he is also her grandfather on her fathers side, too in-breed for me, fortunately she hasn't had puppies, her lines go back to mainly Cornevan.
Saffy is by Shananegan Some Might Say it's Bardonhill he is another well known sire here, she has quite a mixture of breeding in her pedigree.
I used to have Akita's they too were used to hunt bear, same spits shape, and they too pulled sledge's but a bit bigger in body than the Elkhound, I must say they look different here in UK perhaps that is why I didn't recognise them, I do like that shape of dog, (wolf like) I have a thing for Wolves....
Thank you for your comments Speak soon Dee and the girls

It's fantastic to live close to nature. At the moment I live in the town, rather close to downtown but I have about 2 km way for big area of wild meadows or a wild strip of land along Wistula river. There I can "meet" pheasants, roedeers, fixes... but not so close.
I like your family, dogs and place where you live!!!
Greetings
Anna

Must be wonderful to see something like Reindeer wandering about, we have them in the Cairngorms Although I have never seen them, there were a few in Edinburgh last year at Christmas, (I was surprised at how small they were,) but beautiful, and they seemed so gentle...
Keep the pictures coming ;0))

I love Sweden, have been 4 times now. First time visiting Sweden I judged Irish and other times visiting my son who has lived there for 8 years now and loves Sweden. He is studying BA English as he wants to teach, hoping he will take time out to visit South Africa sometime this year, not seen him for over 3 years now.
I looked through your photos and your dogs look so happy and content and I see you have a young two legged little person who no doubt keeps you very busy.
