Realising that we only had one Christmas Stocking for the fireplace I decided to spend an hour (or so I thought) making one for Rafferty. It took on a life of its own and many hours later I finally finished it. It is a one off and not to be repeated. I have learnt my lesson. (Liz suggest you ask again when I have recovered hahaha)…

ABRAXA VON DEN WIESENSTROLCHEN, daughter of our canadian redhead VDH-Ch. Russell's Kismet (better known as ELI) and new Int.FTCh. Lohmann's Odwaga, has left Germany.
We hope that her new kennelmates will teach her everything necessary and the chances are not too bad to learn as she lives with Urtis and Apache.

I wonder what Glen would enjoy most for Christmas...
A bone? Hmm, not bad.
A bit of female company? That sounds better.
A day out hunting? BRILLIANT!
So that is what we did, we spent a day in the Alsace with friends and Glen enjoyed a bit of hunting with François Boitier (I do not shoot so can't take Glen hunting myself).

need help! Lucy is almost 13 years old. Blind/deaf but walking fine. She had to be spayed last week as infection in womb. Her kidneys and liver are fine. What illnesses/reasons do you let them go? I know that in my heart I'll know but would like some feed back. Any older setters out there??!!

It is not always easy to take a portrait of our 'Lively Bundle of Fur' - here we are at a beach in Norway and Joy was in her explorer mood:
I was so busy, trying to get her to sit still for a moment - while she was busy, trying to dig through to Myra :-) - that I did not even notice, that my camera settings were still on 'sunny 16' or beautiful weather, from…

We got great news from CACIB Kassel international show last weekend, that LOHMANN'S ODWAGA gained 2nd EXCELLENT with CC. With this showresult she has gained the title of an Int. FT Ch. or ChIT or Internationaler Arbeitschampion (FCI confirmation pending). So having her first litter in may this year after our canadian import Russell's Kismet didn't spoil her looks,-))) Congrats to her owner Heidi Stief and kennel "Wiesenstrolche".…
