Today was the Dog of the Yearshow , this show is a special show only for group winners and the numbers 2 and 3 in the group , you get a special invitation for this show , Pelle was entered and Junior , Kim's lovely young gordon boy. They compete against all the other breeds from the group 7 to be Best Gundog and the best will go for BIS , the best dog of 2008

We had such a nice day in Western Finland, small town called Laihia. There was a group speciality for all gundogs, hounds and spitzes and my Redword Diamonds R' Blue "Bobby" went to BOB and finally BOG 3 right after Mult Ch American Cockerspaniel and Mult Ch Golden Retriver. Irish Red Setters were judged by Mr Paavo Mattila. BOS was Most Maroon's Pepnelope Cruz. Also my "Armas", Redword Be A Friend did well, he was placed 4th best male handled by Minna Viertola (Fansett). Thank you Minna!…

First presentation of "Windy" with 3 months and 5 days
Since he was born (from the waterboys songs litter theme) ,he shows its Special.
Surprises everyday with his gentle and alive caracter and also beautifull shape.

I was fortunate enough to have attended Westminster Show held at the incredible Madison Square Gardens Feb 9/10 . I also attended most of the Gundog Specialty shows which are held in the few days leading up to Westminster.These were held just outside of New York in Secaucus, New Jersey.

We don't have much snow, but on Sunday we got a little more anyway. The dogs enjoyed playing when the snow fall. Don't worry, there's no living animals hurt, only a rubber duck :-)

The coldest part this winter is now. It´s almost everyday the temperature is about -25 to -30 C in the morning. We started a small business in noveber and we are on the roads a lot. We have seen some reindeers and lots of snow. Our first litter is 1 year on februari 27:th and they are som nice.We have lots of fun when we meet our youngsters and their familys. Last weekend(14 02 2009) we had a a very important show.Was the Final of the Annual competition 'Champion of Champions' to decide the best (all breeds)Champion of Portugal 2008. And its was great for us and our dogs.
Happened in Lisbon on a luxury atmosphere of the 5 stars Ritz Four Seasons Hotel.
The judge was Mr.Norman Deschuymere,an all round judge from Belgium.

All right, Ursula, this is THE hare that was responsible for Glen almost winning the award for 'best hare course' of the week! Some people had been praising Glen for his obedience and excellent bonding. Little did they know...
