BIG CONGRATULATIONS for that fabulous win with your Labrador and such a superb entry 70, no mean feat at all. Such a shame that you guys decided not to take the Irish Setters along after all can't have been a good turnout then if you did not show. Still never mind some breeds will aways be more popular than others. Take care and well done once again. JO.XXX

Oops! The congrats still stands - I thought it might have been more recent. I knew Jo was out of NZ for a few weeks, but didn't know she had come over to Oz. I see the results on the Irish Setters Australia website. Nice to see Marie get 4th with her boy, Link. I bet he is maturing nicely by now?
Yes, I think you are right about the "when in Rome" theory, but I do think we have to increase the knowledge and profile of English type in Australia as many times when I talk to people overseas, they are surprised to hear that there are English type IS over here!! Anyway, I hope you had a good time even though no wins to get excited over.
Been away over the weekend to shows up North. Troy's girl took BOB on Saturday and his boy took BOB on Sunday. My lovely Clancy was the groomsman again!!!! He is a slow maturer, so I have to be patient, but I am very happy with his structure, so roll on another year or so and then look out!. Chat soon, Ch

I had no idea whatsoever about the anti-dress-code Myra!
:-)
Just my very own observation...

Hi there Myra
Nice to speak again, you should have some lovely babies...although I hope for your sake that you don't have as many as we did. I think 10 is a really good BIG number, but 14 to raise is just too much...
I kept the Dark Blue Boy, (he may not have been the pick of the litter), I think that was definitely Black Boy, We all agreed he was really pretty and a lovely shape, but lets face it, all can change, its not a science choosing puppies.
I wish I could say that the weather here is ''glad to be alive'' weather, its freezing and I have got to have the French windows open so the puppies can go in and out, so sitting with an out door coat and a rug over my knee, it must look ridiculous. All the best and good luck for the future Dee and the gang

Hello,
fancy meeting you here. I am in between making lunches for the week and a roast for dinner. Just popping out to the computer now and then to see what's happening.
Sophy is well and happy but has a lump under her suture line. I am going to ring up about it tomorrow.
How is Lupin?

The lump doesn't seem to worry her. I can palpate it and she doesn't even notice. I think it is getting smaller. I only noticed it yesterday. Her coat has gone that funny turning up over her abdomen as it tends to do when they are in whelp so fingers crossed. How many weeks is Lupin?

Yes, I thought of scar tissue as she was surgically AI'd to Minstrel 4 years ago. And if he went back through the same suture line that would explain it.
4 weeks and counting for Lupin.

Hello Myra,
yes, you are quite right - that time of year! I am still undecided... have loads of possibles but still missing the 'wow-factor'. How about you???
Good luck to Lupin!

He is funny I must admit - he has now found his bark and mainly 'speaks' to my husband. This only occurs when he has tried to eat Paul's clothes whilst he is in them. Very sweet natured and definitely keeping us on our toes.

hi myra many thanks for your kind comments on the seals ,it was a fantastic experience and they are just so gorgeous (dont know why anyone would want to slaughter such beauty) going back in december as they come right up to path the warden says .it must be a popular place because he told us 65000 plus visitors go every year .youd think they would go somewhere quiet as this is a practise bombing range used by the raf

Thanks for your comments Myra;
When exactly is Lupin due to 'Deliver'? Do hope all goes well for you 'all' too;

Wow seems funny that both are due the same day! Wonder who will be first?
We will stop Charmed's hormone tablets Tuesday evening so normally 2 days after that;
How many did you see on the scan? We saw between 8 to 10;
Most exciting, shall we come and see each other's pups too???

Well think main thing is that these very special little ones come into this world easy and healthy, for them and for their mums!!!
Lupin had bad experience last time and as you see Charmed too so this time everything Must go well!
Be thinking of you 'all' down there and waiting for news;
All the best

Thank you for the comment on my blog, Myra...no I shall not make a habit out of showing! Its just too time-consuming for me. A few more times I suppose and that will be her lot. She did well for a 6-months-old and it was avery LONG wait....still keeping fingers crossed for Lupin here....:-)
Looking good so far.

The judging started at 9, and I was at the hall just after 8, thinking that as this was Rusas first time (and I was number 6 in the ring) she would need to get used to the shiny floor and the loudspeakers and all that...(not the sort of suroundings we have out in the sticks).
Then I was finally ready to go home after 5 o clock in the afternoon...

The worst was waiting for the groups to begin...
I think I am just generally impatient...:-)
Must make that a new-years resolution...more patient and stop smoking :-)
