Hi Evie!!
Yes it was very disappointing not to get the chance to try for the qualifier today but these things happen!! Abbey is a bit better tonight and a bit brighter in herself!! Thanks for asking;o)

Carmel can you go over Abbi's symptoms with me.
My gordon Piper is nine and I had to rush her to the vet last week. She went out first thing and I thought it was strange that I put breakfast up for everyone and she hadnt appeared. I found her in a corner of the garden. she was down covered in saliva but responded when I spoke to her. I got her on her feet but her whole sides and abdomen were like a drum.
Frantic drive to the vet and he gave her an anti spasmodic etc. Much of the tightness went down but not quite and she was very poorly for about 48 hours. She has picked up now and her bloods were all absolutely fine I am really puzzled and we havent put a name to this at all

That sounds more like a gas build up in her abdomen!! Abbey had no change in her abdomen and all her problems were from the lining of her gut and blood in her stool etc. Her stomach was normal! And thankfully she is much better today! Hope your Piper is OK too;o)

That was what had scared me but I waited for either the rumbling gurgling gut or the monumental burp (or worse) but there was nothing!

The qualifier was in Ballitore, Co. Kildare, Pheasant(Beat field) Judges T.Dunne, P.Dooley and J. Conway. Run by Irish Gundog Field and Show Society, Open Stake for Pointers and Setters 10/10/10 Is that enough info?? Marc told me there is another qualifier on 30th Oct. so we will plan for that one!!;o))

Hi Carmel,
Sorry to hear Abbey was still poorly Sunday hope she is on the mend and can compete on 30th Oct as I know how hard you both have worked to get to where you are.
