Thanks a lot for this translation - I just forgot ... it is hard to believe that she is gone now.

On June, 23. in 1997 our way brought aus to an Irish Setter litter in Berlin. Just to have a look!

But in the way home, we were accompanied by a little red girl, we soon called Aska. She moved into our home and our live and mixed everything up including our „old“Setter girl Bella.

She taught us her way to live and her aims. I learned a lot from and with her. I had my joy and my sorrows. But I could share everything with her, the good and the bad hours, Aska was next to me.

I see her hunting after a deer, walk with me over belgian meadows. I see her jumping through the forest, splashing the water in the creek and „bubble“ with the nose under water.

I see her running over the meadows with her daughter and later her granddaughters. And I see her lying on our terrace enjoying the sun.

But today it is as someone tooks our air to breath, the tears won't run dry , also we know there was no other, better way. Nearly half of my life she was by my side, but now the world seems to turn in a different way.

Aska, I just want to say thank you for all these wonderfull years, the evetnfull month and delightfull hours, for your warmth, your will power, for every time nudging me with your nose, for your every wagging tail, for every expression in your face, for all your power and love you gave to us, for your patience and forbearance with our children, for all didoes …

I say thank you for all your children, grandchildren and greatgrandchildren – on this way you will be with us forever in a physical way.

Short: I like to say thank you, for being with us!
