Whew have I been busy! Yesterday my creature took me to be groomed. I don't like it one bit. I tried everything I could to get away. Some tree sap landed on top of my head so I'm missing hair there. My creature put peanut butter on the sap to emulsify it but it just "wore" my hair thin. I've been going to the lake almost every week. I love the walks in the forest, my creature tries to walk 2 miles every day. I stay with ahead of her and dart back and forth, sometimes I get so hot I jump in the…

We did find nice homes to 3 of 5 puppies. Arthur and Enya is left and they are really nice individualls. I am happy to have Enya at home, because i have my best chanse to raise her to a service dog. :-) She loves to work with her head and she is so smart. Both puppies loves to pick up things so my plan is just to let them learn to pick up some clothes, toys and another things they find.
We did not manage to get to Herrfallet this year, but the puppies are entering in Ornskoldsvik in…

Well, you can imagine the happiness when friends tell you that your dog is pictured in a dog book. Unfortunately the book is sold out and not available in second-hand shops either but i finally (after two years or so) managed to get a scan of it :-) (I don't specially like this photo btw, but hey, you can't get it all. Just wonder if they shouldn't have asked me for permission to publish it????)
The photo was taken in September 2003 when Odin…

Well, it has finally happened, Alex has arrived in the States, this time for a little longer than just one show or two .(... World Show, Mexico & Eukanuba World Challenge )
He won BOB at his first outing out last week & I have been told by a reliable source that he will soon be campaigned in earnest next month when they feel that he has recovered from his 18 hr International flight.
After having just done the 26++ hrs ourselves last month I cannot believe that this dog has…

Well, our 5 weeks overseas has come & gone so quickly & we have many happy memories jogged by numerous photographs of new friends & old acquantices renewed..
Both Leigh & I had a super time & it was fantastic seeing all those Irish Setters both in England & Sweden at the circuit shows & World Show alike. We also attended some All Breeds shows like Windsor, East of England etc.
While there are subtle differences in the interpretation of the Irish Setter…

Yes, I know, I promised not to show her anymore. But what can you do if the show is only about 40 km and for free for dogs above 11 years? :-)
We went with my pointer and great dane friend and took all our oldies out for this event. It was amazing and heart touching to see so many veterans at one place. Some still in very good condition, some showed their age already but hey, it was a show for…

We have been counting the game for the Ministry of Forestry with dogs. This is done before the season starts. Large areas in northern parts of Finland have suffered from total failure of brood. This is mainly done by cold summer. I have been hearing the same happen in Norway.
This is a catastrophy for the trials as well...
