Home for Irish Setter Lovers Around the World
As novice handlers, we have only entered a few shows a year in Nova Scotia with our girls. They have only had competition once so they earn one point at a time against each other. We wanted to see how they matched up with some of the best in North America, so, in Aug. 2019 we drove from Nova Scotia to Ontario to participate in the Irish Setter National in Long Sault, Ontario. It was the first big show we have ever entered - and I mean BIG!!!! It was the first time we have travelled with the…

My apologies for not being on here recently I have had a lot on. Paddy is well he still sneaks on the settee so we've got no room.He annoys every dog he comes across he says they're jealous of his beautiful fur. he still reminds me he's boss with his teefs but he has an amazing sense of humour and ditto we need one with him

I had an adventurous life and travelled a lot and hope to be able to explore the world still a few years longer. But first things first: Last year in early spring we went to a town near Neapel, that was destroyed by a volcano. We…

HI all
just wish to share some comments about the flee and worm treatments. We live in the UK and, over the years, we always treated Oberon with drontal (every 3 months) and advocate pipette (monthly). But, since these do not cover for thick and other deseases common in mediterranean countries, when we travel in summer in south france and corsica we integrate with a second pipette of advantix and also a scalibor collar
now, our vet changed the suggested course of action and…

hi all !
I am wondering if you had similar experiences. Our Oberon is now hitting 8 years and half and the behaviour has changed a lot. He calmed down ( a bit), which is not bad considering we are also hitting 50 years, but he is still crazy as an IS can be (although Oberon was always a gentle and not too crazy guy, for an IS standard i mean).. . However, is definitely more cuddle seeking and he wants to stay much closer to us (and our legs:)
a definite change in behaviour is…
Continuehi all, i still went for my camping holiday in corsica last summer, a long drive from the UK but totally worth ! however my mum and dad are worried that at the beach starts to be a bit too hot for me ( I am 8years and half now), so, although our nice big tent was near the beach, they have taken me in the mountain a lot of days…

Our Delightful Bundle of Joy is 10 years old today and as you can see, she's well behaved and settled down by now:
That was last summer in Scotland - for the readers of Gavin Maxwell's book 'Ring of Bright Waters' Camusfearna should be well known and apparently there are still otters there! - although the one above looks more like a sea monster!
But let…

Hi all ! I have lost my beautiful Fenouil. The heart. If it is difficult for me, I see it is more for my Gentiane, Harissa and Muscade. When me enter, they are looking for Fenouil. In all the appart.
I think a new baby is the solution...
