Home for Irish Setter Lovers Around the World
It was our beautiful Daisy's birthday yesterday so roast pork, roast veges and gravy for dinner. Sadly we had to say goodbye to our dear Richmond today, he has been poorly for some months and the time had come to let him go gracefully. Very sad day today in our house but glad we got one last photo of our 1/2 dozen before they became 5.
We are so sorry to hear about Richmond. But glad that we got to meet him last year. Love and hugs to you all. JO.XXX
Run free Richmond. The years go too quickly for our beloved families.
So sorry to hear your news.
So sorry to hear. Glad you got one last photo of them all together.
A celebration closely followed by a grievance ... what a difficult time for you Gayle!!! Happy Birthday Daisy and very sorry about Richmond's departure. Letting them go is such a difficult moment ...
So very sorry to hear about Richmond. A beautiful boy who was very much loved.
I have to say it is a strange feeling to offer Birthday wishes for Daisy, and sincere thoughts & condolences for the loss of Richmond in the same message,Gayle. This picture of all your setters together is very emotional, but comforting at the same time.
Richmond is back at home now and there is a spot in the garden for him. We will be putting a Magnolia Little Gem on top of him. The other dogs have been very quiet since Richmond went off on his one way trip. They had been fussing over him for several days as if they knew he was very ill. They also look pretty sad in the photo despite the aromas from their roast dinner.
So very sorry on the loss of your handsome Richmond...never easy but unfortunately the bad side of loving an Irish ( or any pet). Treasure your memories of Richmond with all your lovely Irish Setters. Happy Birthday to Daisy.
