Thought the Cocker Spaniel lovers amongst you may like this little story..
I have long admired this photo of Jim’s Mum and Dad – who were married during WWII. Arthur and Kath are pictured here with a Cocker Spaniel bitch - Sally of Billingbear who was the granddaughter of Exquisite Model of Ware. Owned by Mr H. S. Lloyd, Exquisite Model of Ware was Crufts BIS 1938 and 1939. At the time of her marriage Kath was ‘in service’ to the Buckley family who owned Sally and was very fond of her. When recounting her wedding day Kath would always share her memories of ‘Sally of Billingbear the grand-daughter of the Exquisite Model of Ware’....
