Porto Rio Setter: Best Champion of Portugal and Reserve of Best Veteran of Portugal 2008
Last weekend(14 02 2009) we had a a very important show.Was the Final of the Annual competition 'Champion of Champions' to decide the best (all breeds)Champion of Portugal 2008. And its was great for us and our dogs.
Happened in Lisbon on a luxury atmosphere of the 5 stars Ritz Four Seasons Hotel.
The judge was Mr.Norman Deschuymere,an all round judge from Belgium.
The event was promoted by the Portuguese Kennel Club and Sponsor by Eukanuba
There were two Finals; Veterans and Champions.
We had two dogs qualified, one in Veterans and another one in Champions, ( we haven't more because we don't do the general championship to ranking the dogs.We only go to some shows).
Well....the results were...
In veterans with 15 entries, our old boy "Cash"(Settador Red Rum,10 years old) won the Reserve of Best Veteran Portugal 2008...
For Best Champion of Portugal 2008 (all breeds),James Martin's do Porto Rio,(presented by me),breed by us and onwer by our friend Rui Carvalho,won the Best in Show against 62 others top ranking champions dogs.That was really fantastic and lets us very proud and happy of our boys and it was great for the breed.
