Home for Irish Setter Lovers Around the World

Finally! After completing her 30 days in quarantine at Byford, Garden Star's Ramblin Rose (Aneira) is finally home with us.

She has settled in like she's been here always - and within the first hour was stealing toast off the kitchen bench and taking teddy bears from Niamh's toy box. She's happily ripping apart her bed as I type...

I will hopefully have some photos to share once I can work out how to upload them to the laptop, as our main computer has died.

Once again, I would like to thank Judit and Laszlo Toth for sending us this beautiful girl; Aleks and Willem Lauwers, for helping me find one of Jingles' precious puppies, and to Laura Kolbach, for all her translating work, and for putting up with me panicking in her ear for 10 months ;-)

Heheh Laura - well, she didn't learn counter surfing from my lot. (Though Fionn has been known to lick a plate or two on the table...all under the *cough* disapproving eye of his dad...*cough* They both know to run when mum sees them...)

You did warn me Aneira was naughty! This morning, she has stolen and chewed two of Niamh's little wooden toys, and a power cord (not plugged in, thank god) that Glenn left on the floor. Who's fault is that, I asked him. Hers, apparently... Hmm... Also her fault that he didn't think to show her where to go to the toilet. On the plus side, my floor are now sparkling clean, because someone then had to go get the mop and bucket to remind himself that all new puppies need training in that area and shouldn't be left unsupervised. Hehehehe.

Good luck to the new australian citizen - and keep on working on Glenn, it just takes perseverance... I'm sure you will get there in the end;o))
