Home for Irish Setter Lovers Around the World

It is with a heavy heart that I post this blog to let you know that we had to let Fred go this afternoon. Even after 24 hrs of intensive nursing with physio Freds rear left leg remained paralysised, he was unable to stand unaided or walk, so we took the heart braking decision to let him go and suffer no more. We will miss his carefree attitude and love of pinching food that was any where near his reach!! We have only owned him for 6 years but they where filled with great memories to treasure for ever.

Picture is of Fred on christmas morning having just opened a edible present, it was always such a joy to watch him open his presents himself.

I'm so sorry to hear this awful news. It's hard to know just what to say, such a freak accident that has taken him from you so suddenly. It must be an awful shock. No words can help, this pain you're feeling must run it's course.

Big ((((hugs)))) from me.

I am so sorry for you, have been there a few times myself and it never gets any easier. Be happy in the knowledge that he has gone over the "rainbow bridge" where there is no suffering or pain. :o(
