Home for Irish Setter Lovers Around the World
This year snow came late but then, there was so much snow in 'Winter Wonderland', that Joy could even play on the balcony:
We rented the same apartment as two years ago and Joy remembered the place immediately running to and fro with a wagging tale and a smiling face. She also recognised her Setter friend of course, once owner of a dog from Susan's A-litter.
It looked, as if the path was prepared just for us - "This way, Joy":
But being Switzerland, there were restaurants and hotels further up the hill, that the owners tried to keep open all year - with quite a bit of effort:
We did not hike all the way up - the snow was soft and the difference of 800 meters in altitude too much for an afternoon stroll :-).
We simply en'Joy'ed the snow:
Whilest others, like number 3139 enjoying a bit of sun - when I was younger, they were called Lisa, Rosi or Heidi:
This was 'our' village for the week, the last one in the valley of the river Rhone - with 100km prepared tracks, this area is a paradise for cross country skiers!
And a b&w encore (click):
Whishing you all a very Happy New Year!!
Wonderful pictures once again Cornelia!
Pitanga and Romã want to know if they can go visit you and Joy! =)
True Wonderland!!! :O)
Wonderful photos as always Cornelia ! Joy is a very lucky girl :)
Beautiful Winter Wonderland!!!
Do you have room for me and my Red hooligans. We have had a snowless winter to date here in the Finger Lakes and I am jealous and my skiis are dusty.
Gorgeous photo story as always. Lovely!
Beautiful photos and happy and healthy new year!
Ah, so Baumanns still love setters:-)) Great photos of your holidays - but a good thing you are not up there now as I think you would be well and truly stuck there! And the snow storms were so fierce you'd not even send a dog out to pee....
I love the b&w!
As usual very lovely photoes! Happy New Year to you !
