I'm pretty shocked... not because of the setters, but looking at yesterday's results & pictures I see that cropped and docked dogs were accepted at the world show - I actually thought this was a thing of the past...
In Switzerland cropping of ears has been banned for something around 20 years and docking of tails since four or five years. No cropped or docked dogs are accepted at shows here. I am surprised that Sweden has allowed them, especially dogs with ears cropped!!!

Cropping of ears has been banned since the 1960 here and tails since late 1980s (or early 90s). But according to the world-show-rules, dogs can be shown docked if they are bred in a country that allowes docking.
I suppose if they were not allowed, you would end up excluding too many countrys that you would end up not being able to call it a world show anymore. The way I read it, his is nothing that the host-country can do very much about.

Don't quite understand why there are two CAC's for males? i thought CAC in Sweden was only given in working class. but perhaps it was different this time as it is World Show.

Hi Alenka !

I had the pleasure to join the judges conference with Kennet Edh in Stockholms Rica Talk Hotel in the morning.
They do give a CAC and ResCAC in working class first.
After that the ResCAC winner competes again for the second CAC.
Dogs/bitches that are swedish champions or have already three swedish CAC's can not compete for CAC. Big job for the ring stewards...

Just seen that Camilla's young bitch was 4th Best Junior of the day and the Susanne's veteran dog was 3rd Best Veteran of the day. Really exciting for the Irish. Well done!!!
