Hello I am Jo from New Zealand. I very much love all of my setters, 4 Irish and 2 Gordons. This looks like a fun place to share stories.

Hope everyone is doing well. Started bird training and an obedience class last week. Having fun in both Hawk likes the bird training more as he gets to run and smell good things.

Hawk is having a problem with dry skin. He gets fish oil and olive oil daily but he is still has dry skin on his back. Any ideas?

Thanks for whomever started this group...My partner thought these kinds of discussion groups were corny, well, until she needed help with her beloved puppy. This being her first pet, not to mention that he is an irish setter with exclusive requirements and behaviors but she'd be lost without her TRUE love. Thanks- Exclusively.

They all are priceless are they not. Do not know what I would do without mine. Just spent an hour at the dog park with Hawk. There were several dogs there for him to have fun with. Tiz can not go as she is to bossy and will not let anyone play. It is a small park but everyone there has really nice dogs and they usually all get along well.

Hawk is entered in our first field trial this weekend, I hope we do not get lost as it is about 3 hours from home and we are leaving at 3am. I hate driving in the dark. I am sure he will have a wonderful time

Hi to anyone who can help....
I need to increase my puppy's weight and am struggling... he is now 13 months. I have just changed him over to royal canin but just doesn't seem to like it - even when had fed... can anyone suggest a quality biscuit that may be more entising? he is eating small amounts of tripe but not as much as i would like... meal times to him now seem to more of a torture than fun so really don't want to force him to eat...

Hi Alison,
I have given my cats royal canin and they did not like it. I just started using taste of the wild for the dogs and they love it. It is expensive compared to Canidae which I was feeding, the older dogs had trouble with gaging and that is why I changed.
