This is Spirit and it took a few days to get him to travel with me on my scooter.
Now were back in the UK i dont have a Scooter but I'm sure he hasnt lost the Knack.
It also took Spirit a day to learn how to climb the ladder in our swimming pool as i was scared that he could go in on his own and not get out so i taught him to get out on his own.
Most people will know if you have read earlier posts from me that Spirit has Leishmaniasis', that dreaded sand fly killer. He brought this illness with him from Spain and it was a hard time for us and also a very expensive ordeal.
He has now stopped having the injections but he still has his allurpurinol 3 times daily. He is i would say 99.9% healthy but there is a risk of it coming back.
So as you can imagime i watched out for him by the minute and not a day goes by where i worry if it should come back.
If anyone out there are thinking of going on holiday with their dogs abroad then TALK TO ME FIRST please.

Steve, I just love this photo, Spirit seems to be quite a dig.....swimming in the pool, climbing up the metal ladder & I thinks he looks great with his lemons..........what a boy!!!!! He is well named as he clearly has the 'Irish' spirit in him. Great how you take your dogs everywhere with you.

Thankyou Jean, where in belguin are you? I lived near Antwerpen in a small town called Lier or was it Leir long before i had my own Setter though. I was about 9 and i remember the beautiful clock in the square.
