UK agility is very competitive and hugh nbrs enter the agility shows. If you are not running an Australian sheepdog or a border collie then you are strangely looked at and not taken seriously ... having fun in Ireland though ;o)
Really its depressing this kind of weather and this now 2 years in a row, June was excellent, ( well very good ) but now, if I wear to be offered a job in a different country, I would be gone straith away.
In IRWS 1 Junior dog, Kelly's Corranroo Celtic Charm (GSD) & puppy class,Gaye's Caispen Maid in Ireland (GSB + BOB) under judge Mr R. Harbin and this time it was raining ...
I was looking for a Red setter in 2003 until I came across the Red and White ones at the Paddy's show '03.
Via Trudy Walsh I got my first boy, Sheebhin Fergal (Oisin) followed the next year by Dalriach Garryowen, a beautiful boy that I showed successfully and made up a Champion. During his qualification in the field I took quite a liking for this sport and started training him in order to be able to run in trials. This year I have ran him a couple of times and there are days he works good for me ;o). I also have his son, Deargban The Long Fella ( Shea ) born in March 08 and now the latest addition to the team, Mizen Cion, born in May 2009 related to my Oisin as the Sire is his brother as well as to Fionn, the dam is a half-sister to Fionn.
Congratulations with the field trail win. I love to hear that you doing good since I have the brother,Goshawk. Like you and Terry, I think that the breed with Terry`s bitch are superb.
Can't find your mail adress, but I will send a copy of my report about the IRWS to Terry tonight. As it was published last monday, you can imagine the hype over here. Lots of phone calls, including from blueblooded homes.;-)
Hi Mark !
Good new entry of yours;-))) Is Cion a nephew of Oisin ?
August issue of germany's biggest hunting mag will see my report on "the fourth setter". Not many of those pictures I would have liked to see, but at last some good advert for the breed.
regards
Christiane
Hi Marc,
Have just been viewing your photos on your page and I think your R/Whites are really gorgeous. The one of your boy galloping at full stretch is smashing.
I have a R/White boy and it is lovely to see him quartering at full speed.

Setters are generally getting worse as far as entries go!! But it is somewhat understandable with budgets getting tough for some and perhaps the politics are getting too much also!!??;o))
