Last weekend I went with my little girl Blossom to a small show (no CAC or CACIB) in Zoetermeer. She was best of breed and later in the ring she became best in group!!! I was very excited...she's only 12 months old and she competed with dogs which where a lot older. After the groups we went into the ring for best in show. She became last of this group, but Blossom have the great result 10nd best in show of the 127 dogs. I am so proud at her!!! :-)…

Burr Season

This could almost be burrrr (as in cold) season, since we're getting pretty close to frost some nights now, but I am referring to those sharp, prickly, sticky, messy burrs that get into the feathering of our beautiful dogs.

Chester happened to find a whole bunch of burrs on our run at the dog park today. He got some little black sticky ones - some small sharp, prickly green ones - and some big, brown sharp,prickly ones. A real nice combination of messy stuff.

Irish on AKC Gazette cover

Just got my email "YourAKC" ( a bi-monthly ? ) email from AKC and on this month's cover of the AKC Gazette is the Irish Setter :) Anyone know which dog it is?

Also the feature story is about 2 grayhounds who made a switch from the ring onto a silver screen. Quite interesting - I think I will stop by the Border's and get me a copy :) …

Hi All, Been ages since I was here, need to catch up on the topics and such. Our litter of seven by Carousel's Just for Fun out of Can Ch Palarset's Spring Fling has begun to go to their new homes. Clannrua show results

Another good day for the new Clannrua puppies!! Sheila and Darby(Clannrua Donard at Cloonminda) went best puppy in show at the Irish Breeds Championship Show in Dublin today! And Alison brought Molly(Clannrua Nephin Beg) out for the first time and she was 1st puppy bitch!! Molly is quite the character and had to give the judge(Sean Delmar) lots of kisses!!!!!! Megan and Rua both got 3rd placings and were graded ex. Met lots of good friends too!!! ;o)

Bäring Nords Grid

My half-owned french bulldog Bäring Nords Grid (Ines) today got her first CC! Winning first the junior-class and then the CC in competition with the "big" girls at the breed special at Helsingborg (Sweden).

On the photograph she is shown standing next to her litterbrother Bäring Nords Grim.

Hunting season is behind the corner

Our training sessions have gone thru beautifully in a bright autumn weather.

We´re not allowed to shoot grouse yet, but by using a startpistol I can give the dog a feeling of a very bad shooter :-)

young dog day Belgium Irish setterclub 9 sept.

On Sunday the 9 th Reddins Elliot 9months will enter there in the youth class.
And also Lots of Love of the red Empire )kimmo) from my sister Yvonne Beekelaar.
2 so different types I wonder what the judge will say about them.
