I had the honour of being invited to judge at the international show in Rostock. The Landesgruppe of the Verein Pointer u. Setter made me very welcome and I had a super team to assist me in the ring. The atmosphere was very friendly and I would thank all exhibitors and helpers for making this a pleasant day.
It was a lovely end of day seeing the Irish Setter bitch Brilliant Bronze Siofra Little Elf winning the group.
(Sorry Laura, I do not have any photographs!)

In obtaining the res. CAC/CACIB ar Charleroi show (B), under the judge J. De Cuyper (B),
Ch. Fletcher of McBirdy becomes Belgium Champion ! We are very proud of this new tittle because it is the third tittle of Belgium Champion gained by a McBirdy's dog (Ch. Yuelynn of McBirdy, Int. Ch. Cheyenn of McBirdy and now Ch. Fletcher of McBirdy).
For info, to be Belgium Champion, a dog have to be qualified in Field Trial !
So, he is to be a show dog, but also a hunting dog (and it's a…

Most of you already know, but i think, '
Odin' just deserves her own blog about this win ;-)
Being almost 12 years, she won the veteran class at the Eurodog Show in Budapest and also became Best Veteran. In the Veteran BIS she had a "veteran BOG' being chosen for the final decisions as the only one from the gundog group. Although she did not place in the best 4 of all those REALLY MANY veterans, I am really proud of her, as we were there…

I would like to point out that my name is "Lucy" and I am deffinatly NOT Jo Cross. I am her daughter. I have NOT pointed any fingers, but Lynn has obvousily some issues with this matter. I do not blame her for the Liver problem the dog had. Her breeding isn't under any question from us.I do not want to start an online "fight". I wish Lynn all the Best for the future.
To clear up this issue the pup had: a Portosystemic shunt
Here is an explaination of what it is:

On 5th of october the Danish Hunters association (DJ) organised its winnerclass trial at Sealand. To get the start permission for a winnerclass trial, a dog must have achieved a 1st price in open class within 24 months before.
These trials are very much appreciated, especially as the first winner gets the start ticket to participate at the Danish Championship (DM) next sunday.
This years winnerclass saw a strong pointer competition and still....the winner has a red…

Okay, her ears aren't that long and she's not covered with hair (although I think I see some red hairs there!), but I hope you'll forgive me for posting this pic of my new niece! I'm not sure yet if she meets the standard, but I still think she's kinda cute :-)
(That mark on her face is from the forceps...yes...ouch...although there is still some debate as to who was in more pain, mum or…

Our little youngster Celt, Chaersiveen Celtic Music, WT 30.08.07 had a fabulous weekend:
in the Eurodog Show he became European Junior Winner (best junior dog), in the Club Match he finished as Junior Club Winner and that makeshim Hungarian Hunior Champion.
For a dog that has been with us only for 3 months not bad, eh.
You will find a few pictures of the show in our webalbum under…
