Dear Michaela,
Very, very good photos. You were on launched ducks, weren't you? Or was it a place where there are so many wild ducks? Anyway we envy you! We just arrived home from evening duck hunting, too, but it is much more enjoyable when you see something! I'm uploading the photos (even if they are much less beautiful then yours).
With love,
Petra

Freshnoses & fieldfun & food. Luckily some adventure in between dull looking setters pulled up on tails and heads here as if they were a dead duck:-) Good luck.

Dear Petra, the hunting happends in a place with many reeded fishponds. Because of the big reeds there are many ducks and other waterfowls on this ponds. To reduce the ducks they arrange some big huntings with hunters, gundogs leaders and their dogs. The huntings are about the hole day on different fish ponds. I also was on some evening duck huntings the year before, but it is very difficult to take some pictures. But now I have seen your pictures - I love to see pictures of hunting setters!
@Henk: yes it was a big adventure - and a joy to Milan ;-)

Dear Michaela,
Thanks for the info about this hunting's circumstances. As I've already told you, I'm so envy and would've liked to be there with you! And yes, you are right, taking pictures at evening hunting is very difficult, you can take only close pictures. I also tried to use my video camera, but it is not enough professional and efficient to take videos in dark. I was thinking about buying a megastrong torch and use that to light the scene:)! Did you also shoot or just gathered the ducks with Milan?
Bye, Petra

@Petra: in this time I do not shoot any ducks - I was there as gundog leader - but later there will be a special hunting only for the gundogs leaders .. but them I will not have any time for photos ;-)

@Renata: Very nice to see you here on Excl. Setters! I have the sister (Lohmanns Ortrun called Chili) of your Lohmanns Otter-Fokka = also the daughter of Jager-Jacht. I am very proud to have my Chili and glad to meet you here.
