Setter-TV

With winter approaching, my husband thought it might be time to set up the bird house; he put plenty of branches round the stand for them to sit and for us to take nice photos.

Joy inspected his work,

sniffed where the birds sat and wondered where they have gone! This was…

Travels with Joy - Autumn 2010

Stil at home, Joy cast a last glance towards the nearby forest before we were once more heading north:
We visited most of the places before and I therefore had time for details - here we are in Eisenach, Germany:

On a wall in Erfurt:…

Guess the dish ...

Today Joy forgot all her manners!!!

No, that's not what she did - that photo is old and just added for illustration's sake. Here is what she did:

I was lazy today and on my own, so I did not cook for myself but just opened a tin with a dish you only have to warm up - Joy is normally very well behaved (inside the…

'Hunting' the Siberian Iris and other 'animals' ...

As you can see: This is serious business! Joy even managed to lay down (once!), when I set up the tripod. It was her offer and maybe she was just hot and tired.…

Joy and the little mouse ...

Yesterday, when I went outside into our garden, there was this young mouse on our pateo, probably only a few weeks old.

Of course the first thing I did think of, was aiming for a portrait, but this proved to be very difficult with all these blades of…

Yippie, it's my Birthday today!!! Photo update ...

Thank you so much for all your lovely comments and all your wishes - it was well appreciated :-)) - here are some impressions of that day and of Joy receiving her toy-cat (!) - the most hilarious photos however will need some more work - but brace yourself for those: Not even I have seen Joy like that before ... alas she was happy on that day!

Receiving the gift - note the asking eyes on the pic…

Is it harvest time already...?

I was crawling through the grass on all fours with the

camera and macro lens in front of me, when I came across what looked like a field of ripe wheat during haverst time.

I went to have closer look and gazed in wonder, because it seemed to be on fire!!!

Then suddenly my dream was gone and a cool nose and a wet tongue kissed my cheeks and I woke up...…

Oh, no! Our setter never pulled!! Or is it pulls?

A bit more than a year ago, on a lovely autum day, Joy and I went out for a stroll.

At least that was the the intention... and obviously my idea!

Jogging seems to be much more fun (!) and how can I be angry with Joy turning her head in attention...?

This is the ‚keep-fit-class’ – it comes free as a bonus with the package ‚Irish…

All I got for Christmas was socks!!!

Mom says they are shoes, not socks! And they are not meant for winter but for summer when we go hiking again. I once lost a toenail in the grid of iron stairs - we've seen lots of those stairs last summer and autumn (!) - so the shoes are meant to protect my feet - and the back of the one who needed to carry me - honestly, I myself prefer walking than being carried. But I wanted to try the shoes on now and after keeping my two tin-openers amused by…

Our 'Joyful Bundle' is 18 months old

Coppersheen 'Delightfulbundle of Joy', called Joy is 18 months old.

She's a wild girl and you still sometimes have to look out for the white speck in her eye or the grin on her face.

Puppy trainer who thought this is a lovely girl, were soon taught otherwise...
