Ivy and foal at the show

Remeber Ivy and her foal? Well after her bad start, the (still unnamed) foal went to a foal-show. We did not expect that much...but we were hoping!

First class foal!
With special remarks on her very pretty face and excelent canter!
Wow!

We had hoped that her shaved hindlegs from the operation would have grown in, but no such luck...but obviously it did not matter too much.

Quite right Susan! I found this rather confusing to begin with. But blue is a first prize and red a second. And Alexandra spent HOURS bathing them, doing their mane and tails, brushing and vanishing hooves...much easier to show dogs!
Unfortunatly Ivy has some bad times to look forward to once she stops feeding her foal = A STRIKT DIET :-(

Was just thinking about your baby money drain, looking really well well done she was worth the heartache, stress and expense, love your mare think you should put her back in foal she will throw some top class competition horses and heres the thing you SELL them at weaning before they cost you too much money!!!
