Every year the Irish Setter club in Belgium, organizes a obedience competition for Irish setters.
Chickadee obtained her official obedience brevet of the Belgian kennel club in 2006 and since her
did not make any more obedience.

After an eventful and busy 9 weeks Erin's puppies are now leaving day by day... sad to see them go but also pleased they are going out into the world ready for new adventures. The new owners probably don't quite realize what they are in for:-)) but they were warned!!!

Last Sunday we had CACIB Show in Stetin (close to german border) with entry of 15 irish setters.
Main results:
CACIB male: Allodee Cinammon's (Odi:)
CACIB female: Joy of Life Diervilla (she also finished her Champion title on that show)
BOB went to junior male Argo Rysi Wykrot.
Judge was Mrs. Rita Reyniers from Belgium.

We visited the Klubsiegerschau in Klostermarienberg last saturday and our little girls did very well.
Nikita got the Exc. 1, Junior Winner and Anu got the Exc. 1, CACA in open class.
BOB went surely to Laura and Danka but we where very content with this day and are very proud of the two girls.

Rooo Rooo,
Gosh it is hot in Idaho now. We've had cold weather all Spring and now the weather is wonderful. I get to see hummingbirds on my deck in the morning and night.
My creature took me to a dog show where there were lots of other dogs. I never saw so many different kinds. One mean dog lunged at me and his creature said it was MY FAULT. He told my creature that I LUNGED at his dog! The nerve! I only wanted to play.

Last weekend we made our way to Austria, to participate in the yearly arranged ÖKEV Klubsiegerschau (= Club Show). The club invited Velimir Sruk from Croatia to judge the pointers and setters.
I hoped to receive a class win with CACA, so Danka would finish her championship even in Austria. I knew that we would not get the club winner title as we were not club members (stupid rule, by the way)... But I did not care, I went for my CACA ;-) And she did it…

Kimmo did very well in Brussel , he became 2th with Exc in intermediate !

Splendid double of both McBirdy's juniors Glen & Girly Girl: they won both the class junior. They are now both 'BELGIAN JUNIOR WINNER' and qualified for Cruft' S 2009. Glen becomes then Best Junior.

Back from competing Röde Baronens Glory Days (Vilda) in obedience class 1.
A first prize and 173 points out of 200 possible.
Placed as number 3 out of 23 competitors (beaten by a BC + a Belgian shepherd). Well I managed to beat a few BC*s as well...
