My Danka turned 4 years on the 13th January!



How time flies... Not so long ago she was that puppy from hell and now my beautiful obedient girl. She is such a clown, so full of life and energy and I am so happy that I have her. Happy Birthday my girl :-)

How Many Irish Can Fit Under A Bonnet?

Recently Nome had to wear the elizabethan collar. Fun and games as he barged through the house with it on, and once the others realised it was nothing to be terrorised by - only Nome in a bonnet, then life settled back down. Eating treats with it on, became a "free for all" if Nome dropped any pieces.

Champ. Queenstone Lazy Elwood Best in Show Landessieger Westfalen-Ruhr 2009







What a wonderfull day we had on sunday at the show in Essen, Germany. Our little Figo handled by my husband won the CAC and became reserve best English setter dog and Woody was best Irish setter dog and BOB and at the end of the day he became Best in Show. Hey wasn't life great!

Things that make your day

We have been to the "100-years test" and my Odin is the healthiest girl one can imagine!!!! The vets did ultrasounds all over her body, heart, lungs, etc, EKG as well, also blood taken and examined. A full check from the tip of nose to the tail, outside and inside. And everything is perfect! Also calculus (?) was removed and her teeth are white and shiny again. I am soooo… Continue

CAC Innsbruck (Austria), Saturday 10.January 2009

What a great day we had:-))))) Esther and I were together in Innsbruck at the CAC-Show.



Glenn Champion of Tiffany (Irish Setter) from Esther Siegrist went BOB and 5.best of group 7 !!

Sorley Red Nokomis (My Meagan, Irish Red and White Setter) also went BOB and 3. best of group 7!

Black Mystery Indigo Girl from Birigt Greile was BOB by the Gordon Setters!

BOB and 2.best of Group 7 by the English Setter was Color of Charity von der Guldegg!

Hunting In Falling Snow

Even though I love falling snow, I cannot participate in the pursuit during a storm. Simply because, even though dog hauling is considered when purchasing vehicles, I've not taken into account traction to get to favored hunting grounds. I'll have to give more thought next time.
