Thank you very much for all your kind words. Anna leaves a big gap in our hearts and our house. She was so much part of our lives. She had never been ill. It was so unexpected and sudden. I don't know that it could be a tick-born disease, the vet mentioned auto-immune disease.....I will try to talk to her again next week to try to find out more about it.

To you all,
It is with great sadness that I wanted to let you know that my bitch Brackenfield Forsythia (Anna) died earlier this week of suspected meningitis. She was rather unwell on Sunday afternoon and collapsed in a coma on arrival at the vet. Although my vet said it is rather rare I know of at least 2 if not 3 cases in Irish setters in the last year. A strain of meningitis respond to steroid treatment but sadly she did not. She was 8 years old and the dam of my puppies. She will be…

We are planning a litter with our "Garden Star´s Kathleen O'Irish" in 2008. She is Austrian and Slowakian Junior Champion, won CACIB and BOB and also passed the Junior Field Trial with highest points. Kathy is HD-A, ED-free, OCD-free and genetic tested free of CLAD and PRA-rcd1.

All went extremely well, and the mommy and puppies are doing great!
Tessa (Chic Choix Quailmoor Nemea) and Jedi (Vicary's Yedidah) produced 6 pups, which 2 are males and 4 females.

today was the Dog of the Yearshow 2007 , for all group winners and nrs 2+3 of the group , Pelle won the Gundoggroup and is now Best Gundog 2007 , for the 3th time , at the end all the 10 groupwinners compete for the BIS and there where only 2 places , Pelle was not one of the two but with the 8 other they are all belonging to the 10 Best , beautiful , dogs of the Netherlands
