Snow, sun, shower of hails and super setters stamped the European championship for working Irish setters in Sarry, France on Monday. Eventually weather gods seemed to favor this setter event in Spring. Luckily it was mostly the sun being a main actor in scenes.
The championship was won by French dog Urtis de la Chaume Rigault, owned by Pernin, trialed by well known professional trainer Daniel Munini. Another dog trialed by the same trainer,…

Girly Girl 11.5 months CACIB Dog Show Leeuwarden (NL)
One must be truly passioned to get up at the ghastly hour of 3.30am and to travel 380 kms in the snow.

The judge was none other than Mrs Patsy Hollings, the Crufts gundog group judge of this year.
Girly was absolutely splendid in the ring, didn't put a paw wrong - on this Easter Monday.
Which led to the super result…

After 2 days of excessive training in Lohmann's fields with lots of wild partridges, many many hares and several pheasants, I decided to start a very first time on a FIELD TRIAL. Early Easter saturday saw us at the meeting point of the English Setter Club Germany's spring trial in East Germany.
My 8,5 months old LOHMANN'S ORTRUN (Chili) started in INTERNATIONAL DERBY for dogs up to 24 months. We came home with a VERY GOOD, 14 points and best Derby dog of the group !…

We are very pleased to advise that Amhurst Borrowed Heaven has become a New Zealand Show Champion. Owned by Jo and Matt Day, "Kerry" unofficially gained her title at just 11 months of age., against strong opposition in the North Island.
As with the Australian system, she had to win another CC after she turned twelve months, to be able to claim her title. This weekend Kerry won both the CC's, to become a Champion at just fourteen months of…
