Field Trial Solo, 28 Aug 2010, Corcelles/Payerne in Switzerland

Glen - Int., Swiss & VDH CH Coppersheen Coalville Lad - is on a fabulous run. After his success at the summer trials in Scotland he seems to be going from strength to strength. At the international Field Trial Solo in Corcelles, organised by the Société des Chasseurs à l'Arrêt dans le canton de Vaud (SCAV) Glen was awarded 2nd Very Good. This is his 8th award gained in field trial competition.

The trials in Corcelles are held in sugar beet, where the pheasants have every chance of outwitting the dogs. It looked as if this was happening to Glen, as in his first round he did not find any birds. Fortunately we were given a second run and Glen managed a spectacular 'pointer style' surprise point and remained steady to wing and shot.

Of 14 dogs entered three were placed: 1st TB English Setter Diaz de la Pedrix Grise, 2nd TB Irish Setter Coppersheen Coalville Lad, 3rd TB Irish Setter Eilyn Ciara vom Gebirgsjägerhof.

The judge was Mr. Walter Senn from Switzerland.

Glen gained his KC stud book entry with his award at the Novice trial in Lauder in July. A few days ago this official confirmation arrived...
