A year ago today, Lupin flew out from Denmark, to join the Amhurst team, here in Western Australia.
The highlight of the year was her beautiful litter born on the twelfth of November, from frozen Swedish semen, following the loss of her litter in quarantine.
Lupin, her half brother, Ch.Copper's Prins Trollmane, and her babies, live life to the full, always with a smile upon their faces.
Thankyou Camilla. I trust all the difficulties in getting Lupin here, are now just a…

As you know, we lost our beloved Labrador, Bumble, shortly before Christmas. We miss her terribly, but are happy to say we have bred another special girl, we have called Bimble.Being a week younger than Lupin's Irish babies, they are able to grow up together, and Bimble is just delightful, as the photos show.
Welcome Burberry Bossy Boots!…

We decided to surgically inseminate Amhurst Ballyguerin, with the same "Ibsen" semen we used with Lupin. Everything was done the same way, but very, very disappointingly, Guerin has not conceived.
How lucky are we with the Lupin babies? I will never have to be reminded! And alway, I will have a huge smile on my face in awe of these miracle babies Pictured is Guerin.…

It is with great sadness, we say Goodbye, to our beloved home-bred Labrador, Bumble, Aust Ch Burberry Bumble Bee (NRD).
How quickly, the last fourteen and a half years seem to have gone, and we just Thank Bumble for sharing our lives, and giving us so much laughter, love and happiness.
Truly the most wonderful ambassador for the breed, we are honoured to have bred and owned her, and everyone who met Bumble, just adored her.
The Amhurst/Burberry household is lost without her…

Lupin is the proud mother of eight babies - 3 girls and 5 boys, born yesterday afternoon, 12th November.
We are eternally grateful to the two wonderful vets involved, both here and in Sweden, and to Camilla, and to Everyone out there on Exclusively Setters, who have given us so much support.
For some reason, I cannot download photos on to this Blog, but some can be viewed on My Photos.
Updates will happen, so stay tuned!

From the archives, this is Crofter at about 17 months of age, a little while before leaving England for Perth, Western Australia. My wonderful friends, Ros, Geoff and Jenny Brown (now Scott) were kind enough to visit J and Jimmy James, to see Crofter, and take photographs of him for me. Ros is in the photo asking Jenny if she thought Myra would like him!!
This was the start of all the wonderful Irish Setter things to happen, and Crofter flew to…

Never easy, in my opinion, to manage that super group photo! Always someone looking the other way, or chasing a fly, maybe even yawning!
Oh! How I remember the fun with this photo, taken about thirteen years ago. With much laughter, we actually ended up with everyone looking the right way.Happy. happy memories, of Briary, Raffin, Brogue, Kerry and Tarka.

Darling Lupelina is in whelp to Ibsen, Copper's Prat Bubbla, top winning son of the UK's leading sire, Eng.Sh Ch Caskeys Concept at Aoibheanne JW (16CC's 8 Res CC's) Following the sad loss of Lupin and Ibsen's puppies, just prior to leaving quarantine, we imported semen from Sweden, and are indebted to Camilla for all of her help.
Today we had the ultra sound, and daring to believe she could be in whelp, the ultra sound confirmed.
We have…
