Henny Penny!!!!

A little true story I heard yesterday about a sister of Abbey's, named Penny!! Penny's owner Dónal got a few new hens recently!! On three seperate occassions Penny carried a live hen to their back door, where she left it unharmed and stress free(quite tame birds!!) The little hens just walked away and are now laying eggs as if nothing happened!! I hope Penny continues to be that gentle in future!!;o))

12 puppies having a bad time...again...

Seeing that the last litter demolished my BIG, soft and EXPENSIVE dogbed, I thought I would go for one of these plastic ones this time. Checking them out in the shop, I honestly thought this would be big enough for a litter of 12 at the age of 8 weeks.
They are 5 weeks old to-day and are laying in layers...

Weekend in Norrköping, Sweden

Spent a great weekend in Sweden, visiting 2 shows. Irish Setter show in Finspång and Kennel Club show in Norrköping. Judging ISF was Angela Roberts (Polmennor) and SKK Linda Baldry (Derryveagh). Back to earth

After a real winning time, we came back to earth, both feet on the ground (or grass as you can see)

Last sunday we entered Woody in the breedersclass on the Dutch clubshow and mrs. Launchbury gave him is 2nd Very Good in his whole showcareer. She wrote: "Very strong dog overall, moved okay". Although we had a very nice day and saw a lot of friends. You can't always win.

Pika is expecting puppies - finally!!!

After 1,5 years of trying and a lot of fingers being kept cross (thanks everyone) we can finally say that Pika is expecting puppies around 14th July 2009. Our vet saw at least 8 on the ultrasound (now that would be a nice number so more crossed fingers please).
