I have always said - feed your dog what your dog does best on. If they do well on bones and raw, feed that. If they do well on dogfood, feed that. People who like to feel better than other people simply because they feed their dog a different food...

my name is Astrid and I am the owner of one Irish setter. Her name is Ginger Obvious Red and she was born on may the 29th 2002. Unfortunately, Ginger is not a healthy dog, she is an epileptic. You can read her diary and also more information about epilepsy on her (Dutch) website:

Barf

Today I read this on a forum: I am a setter lover because I am feeding Barf.

How should I interpret this? That I am not a setter lover because I am feeding commercial dogfood?

Barf is not a brand, it is bones and raw food.
