Update on Fred

It is with a heavy heart that I post this blog to let you know that we had to let Fred go this afternoon. Even after 24 hrs of intensive nursing with physio Freds rear left leg remained paralysised, he was unable to stand unaided or walk, so we took the heart braking decision to let him go and suffer no more. We will miss his carefree attitude and love of pinching food that was any where near his reach!! We have only owned him for 6 years but they where filled with great memories to treasure… Continue

Freds hospitalisation

Poor old Fred has landed at vet hospital thanks to Charlie - had been out to hairdresses and when I returned gave both boys a jumbone, Charlie ate his first and decided he wanted the rest of Freds (think hes trying to be top dog) he pounched on Freds back and has damaged Freds spinel nerves and he has lost control of his rear left leg. Off to the vets and they are keeping him in to give physio therapy on his leg over night and hopefully in the next 24hrs he will improve, just fingers crossed… Continue

Setter walk in Holland

Today we went with Cartoon's and the Mergelhoeve dogs to the setterwalk in Brunssum. It was very nice to see all setters together. There were around 30 dogs a mix from Irish & Gordon Setters and a few other breeds.

This walk was organised by Frans he is the region leader from South Limburg.

Oh, no! Our setter never pulled!! Or is it pulls?

A bit more than a year ago, on a lovely autum day, Joy and I went out for a stroll.

WE HAVE IRWS PUPPIES!

We are happy to announce that our Jarda gave birth to 4 strong and healthy puppies on 22.01.2010!

We have 2 girls and 2 boys.

INTRODUCING BIMBLE

As you know, we lost our beloved Labrador, Bumble, shortly before Christmas. Some visits and some training in the cold wheater

We have been and visited our Kitt in Kramfors this weekend. It was a dear visit which was really fun. We had all the dogs with us and it's always nice to meet dear friends. It is not to many parties we are welcome with 6 dogs and be invited to dinner. It was very nice weather with blue skies and moderate cold. It was around -3 ° so it was perfect for an outing. We photographed some and it's very beautiful in the high coast area in winter.…

Glad to welcome in 2010 with new lives

The latter half to 2009 was a sad time. It saw me lose Polmennor Village Gossip Sh CM in July at 9 years old and Polmennor Sweet Dreams one week before Christmas at 12 years old. My young bitch Polmennor Willow Pattern who had been winning well all year had a serious accident during December fracturing her pelvis in two places and spent more than 3 weeks over the Christmas and New Year in a veterinary hospital after an operation to plate the pelvis… Continue
