The little ones showed very well and were each awarded with the reserve dog and bitch challenge on their way to their in show wins. Sadly the photos are not the best as it had been a long day of showing and they were…

Its after lots of thought and searching to find an affixe, that suddenly an obvious idea came to me !
But why not use the name of my village and was thus inspired !
My village is called 'Bois d'Haine' thus Wood for 'Bois' and the river Haine is the name of the river running through the area.
After a long wait, here at last, is my new website.…

Menaifron history are cleared.
The gg daughter of
Edgar Rea, first breeder of Menaifrons (starting in the twenties last century) asked information to pass this on to (g)children. Your help was asked – thanks for the few responding but it is luckily not needed anymore.
Medals of Rea’s winning Irish setters in his gg daughters home now have faces with a lot of stories. She is delighted with them. Many gaps in official recorded history…

Just a short note for those loving red and red and white Irish setter history. The
legendary Dutch Irish red and white setter Harry from red parents died last week eleven years of age.
Harry’s history continues as maybe next week his pups will be born in Ireland. It is a repeat of the combination that gave Irish field trial champion
Pallas Green Harriet. Good news after sad news for Harry’s owner Gerard Mirck and breeder Joop Harms plus Harriets trainer/owner Jim…

Our little Yelly became the doyen at McBirdy! That is now 10 years she shared our life with equal kindness, gentleness and tenderness.
Lordly Yelly is the daughter of Ch Lordly Scrappydoo from our friends J & R Struyf-De Groof. Scrappy matched my type setter and I wanted to get a puppy form her to start a breeding line. We had to be patient, but in late 1999, Yelly came join Lordy Unci her girlfriend and her little Yuelynn of McBirdy at McBirdy's.
Yelly gave us 4 litters (30 pups)…

It will not be a very fresh news, as the Memorial took place 6th of September. But better late than never...Briefly speaking, we went with Fokka to Czech Republic and took part in an international autumn field trial. Result: 2nd prize diploma, 125/136 points. Such score would be enough for 1st prize diploma but Fokka didn't obtain maximal score from searching in rushes.
We got following notes (4 is maximal):
-searching, style 4;
-pointing, footing 4;
-wind 4;
-searching…
